CIRA Elections - Nomination Committee Nominations Begins May 4th

The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) invites you to nominate eligible individuals and/or yourself for the 2006 Board Elections between noon (12:00) EDT May 4, 2006 and 8:00 pm (20:00) EDT June 3, 2006 through https://elections.cira.ca/2006/en/nom_com_nominees.html.

THE NEW ELECTION PROCESS
As a result of changes to CIRA’s By-law, final candidates for the 2006 elections will now appear on a split ballot rather than on a single ballot. Members will be able to elect three Directors from the Final Nomination Committee Slate (chosen by the Nomination Committee) and three Directors from the Final Members’ Slate (nominated and supported by Members). CIRA has selected a Nomination Committee responsible for choosing Nomination Committee Candidates for the Final Nomination Committee Slate. A final list of candidates will be posted on CIRA’s website on July 20, 2006. The election will be held from noon (12:00) EDT September 15, 2006 to 8:00 pm (20:00) EDT September 21, 2006 through CIRA’s website.
